Zencoder
Zencoder is an AI orchestration platform that provides a single subscription for accessing multiple frontier models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) to plan, build, test, and review code and automate work. It offers desktop apps (Zenflow Code, Zenflow Work), IDE plugins for VS Code and JetBrains, and integrates with tools like GitHub, Slack, and Jira to coordinate AI agents across codebases and workflows.

Key facts
What is Zencoder?
One subscription to every frontier model, with agentic orchestration for better quality, lower cost, and no vendor lock-in.
Who is Zencoder best for?
Software developers, engineering teams, and enterprises shipping code at scale.
What are its main limitations?
- Credit-based pricing means costs scale with usage; unused credits expire monthly
- Per-seat fees on paid plans even with BYOK, which may add cost for larger teams
- Premium features (SSO, audit logs, shared team credit pool) only available from Pro Plus tier ($95/mo user)
Limitations are based on product materials or editorial synthesis; confirm on the official site.

Frequently asked questions
What is a credit?
A unit of consumption inside Zencoder. Every LLM call costs credits based on the model and work involved.
Do unused plan credits roll over?
No. Plan credits expire at the end of your monthly billing period. Top-up credits remain usable.
What's the minimum top-up, and are they refundable?
Minimum top-up is $20, and top-ups are non-refundable. Plan credits are consumed before top-ups.
Can I share credits across teammates?
Yes, paid plans use a shared org pool. Admins can set per-user caps to prevent one user from draining it.
Does BYOK consume credits?
No. All plans (including Free) support BYOK. Calls via your own API key don't consume bundled credits, but the seat fee on paid plans still applies.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades are prorated (seat fee + credit grant) for the rest of the cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period.
